Today we live in an environment
where the majority of appliances that draw power, corrupt the
mains electricity supply, (for example computers, fridge
freezers, TVs etc). The result is a heavily distorted mains
waveform, extremely bad for audio equipment.
The irony is that many audio products and often the best ones,
generate a lot of mains noise. Without doubt the most cost
effective way to attenuate this noise and improve the
performance of your audio or AV system is to place a ProTek as
close as possible to the source of interference.
Simply plug the ProTek into a
socket next to, or as close as possible to any domestic
appliance that produces, or is suspected of producing
noise.
Ensure the socket switch is in the ON position, the ProTek will
then eliminate mains noise and prevent it from polluting the
